What's it about?

The walk through Vienna's 17th district follows in the footsteps of legendary Austrian bands such as Schmetterlinge, Drahdiwaberl, Novaks Kapelle, Chuzpe, Rosée Sisters and many more. We visit places that have strongly shaped Vienna's pop and subculture of the past 70 years: among others, the scene meeting point of the first local punks, the home of Hansi Lang, the former site of a record player factory and many other exciting locations.Besides interesting facts about these places, you will of course also be provided with lots of insider stories, funny anecdotes, song examples, photos, flyers, fanzines and records during the walk.The tour starts at Kalvarienberggasse 33 and ends at Kulisse Wien at Rosensteingasse 39.You can get an impression of previous walks at www.instagram.com/wienpopkultour.Information about the tour guide:Geri Hollerer is a passionate record collector, DJ, music nerd, former Radio FM4 music editor, state-certified city guide and has been dealing with Austrian music history for years.
