Klangwolkenwoche
What's it about?
During Klangwolkenwoche, discussions, appeals, sound experiences, and other events will take place at the Brucknerhaus, Donaupark, and other locations in Linz. This year, the Linzer Klangwolke 26 will become a Klangwolkenwoche, with many free program items spread across the city: From Monday, September 7th to Friday, September 11th, the exploration of end and new beginning will extend throughout the city. The Klangwolkenwoche brings: The exhibition "Letzte Dinge" (Last Things) in the Old Ticket Hall of the Brucknerhaus, where visitors can bring their own personal mementos. The reading series Adalbert Stifter and Finitude: Staff members of the StifterHaus recite passages from Stifter's Ein Gang durch die Katakomben (A Walk Through the Catacombs) daily at 9:00 AM and 1:30 PM on the balcony of the StifterHaus. Daily film screenings of Smoke and Mirrors and Entangled Atlas in the s Spektrum of Sparkasse OÖ, in the building at Promenade 11–13, from 2:00 PM–2:45 PM. A conversation with Milo Rau, the director of the Wiener Festwochen, and journalist Renata Schmidtkunz on September 7th at 8:00 PM in the Brucknerhaus. SoundPark by Brucknerhaus Linz and Ars Electronica on September 9th from 6:00 PM–7:00 PM: On the way from Lentos to the Brucknerhaus, the Danube area becomes a sound stage where electronic music connects river, city, and space. The participatory art action Flood the Zone with Courage in Linz's Hauptplatz, inviting participation and discussion from September 9th to 13th. Saturday, September 12th, from 8:30 PM: The grand Linzer Klangwolke ATTheENDLinz forms the highlight and conclusion. The complete program of the Klangwolkenwoche can be found here: Klangwolkenwoche
