Zwischenton
What's it about?
What do words make of me? Are they helpful or restrictive? To what extent does it make sense to create a cosmos of categories? Do I have to be able to find myself in this cosmos? And what happens if I fall out? An ensemble of young adults finds and forms itself. In a collective search process, a play about the in-between emerges: Framed by a fantastic story, we dive with a run-down travel agency into a remote archipelago. Between drawers and gibberish, we search there for word boundaries and words that may not yet exist – for the Zwischenton (intermediate tone). Worlds emerge from seven selected objects, unfolding spontaneously evening after evening. Each performance re-negotiates how we live together and what language makes of us.
