At the Dachstein, a real highlight awaits you - 14 narrow steps lead you down to a glass platform at a dizzying height. Whoever steps onto these stairs stands directly in the rock face 400m above the base of the wall. The "Stairway to Nothingness" was completed in July 2013 and now connects directly to the suspension bridge. The total weight of the stairs is 5 tons. To make the construction phenomenon of the suspension bridge and the "Stairway to Nothingness" possible, 58 mm thick steel cables, 63 tons of steel and concrete, which was transported by piste groomers, were used. If you dare to venture onto the "Stairway to Nothingness", your courage will ultimately be rewarded with an incredible panoramic view of the surrounding mountain worlds. It offers space for a maximum of 4 people. Dogs are not allowed on the Stairway to Nothingness!
