This well-known spring has been known for centuries and is located in the so-called Waldpark. It invites visitors to linger in the forest, and at this historic power spot of the Stefaniequelle, we reflect on the importance of water for humans. Since the 18th century, people have pilgrimaged to this spring to alleviate eye ailments through external washes and to maintain eye health. The humic acid contained in the Waldquelle may be responsible for this. The spring in its current form was established more than 40 years ago, and it was lovingly renovated a few years ago and again in 2020. It is now a popular destination for guests seeking peace and relaxation during a walk along the 'Burgthannerweg' and Hans Pendl wood carving trail '7 Plätze 7 Schätze'. The wooden relief made of linden wood was crafted by Hans Pendl. In keeping with the water theme, Hans Pendl depicts a woman's head (interpreted as either St. Catherine or Stefanie) with a water droplet.
