Kramsach has a long tradition in arts and crafts, which has strongly shaped the community. Significant contributions include the Achenrain Brassworks (1614-1939), the master stonemasons of the "Hagauer Bauhütte" (1513-1823), the Kramsach Glassworks (1626-1933), and timber rafting and landing (1412-1966). Since the Middle Ages, the so-called Kramsach Marble has been quarried in Hagau, which, with its reddish color shades, was used as a high-quality building material in castles and churches. The first Bauhütte (builders' guild workshop) was erected in 1465, and to this day, master stonemasons like Walter Einberger and his son Stephan work in Hagau, continuing the tradition of stone processing. Glass production and processing also have a long history in Kramsach. The first glassworks was founded in 1626 and remained active for over 300 years. Craft businesses that refined the glass by painting, grinding, and engraving settled near the glass production sites. After the Second World War, these glass processing businesses founded a school, which led to the establishment of the Glass Vocational School in 1948. It still exists today as "HTL Kramsach Glas und Chemie" and attracts young art-interested people from all over Tyrol as well as renowned artists who teach there. The artist Peter Schneider (1919-1965) from Kramsach is also worth mentioning. His war memorials, fountains, and gravestones are well-known throughout Tyrol. After studying at the School of Arts and Crafts in Innsbruck (1944-1948) and the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (1950-1955), Schneider found his artistic inspiration in faith. His works are part of the SKULPTURENPANORAMA and are exhibited there.
