Once serving as a recreational space for the Augustinian Canons, the Schlosspark in Naturpark Pöllauer Tal was used for relaxation and offered space for various leisure activities. Today, the approximately 40,000 m2 large Schlosspark still invites visitors to relax and is a starting point for hikes in the nature park. Almost all year round, flowers bloom here, and the children's playground right next to the garden café is excellent for cozy afternoons. The spacious park offers the opportunity to visit the Infostation Hirschbirn hirsch'n. An outdoor classroom in the western, slightly elevated part of the park offers a magnificent view of the Pöllau Parish Church and the Pöllauberg Pilgrimage Church, with a root display station providing a deep insight into root systems and soil life. "SAM" stands for "Sammeltaxi Oststeiermark" and fills the mobility gap where buses and trains do not operate. The nearest SAM stop near the Schlosspark is HF 5943 (Pöllau/Schloss-Zwinger); additional stops can be found here.
