Rotenturm Castle is located in Southern Burgenland in Rotenturm an der Pinka, embedded in an 11-hectare English landscape park, and is one of the most significant historicist country castles. Built as the seat of the Erdödy count family in the 1860s, it had changing owners after 1924. The Viennese real estate and insurance expert Prof. Heinz Schinner acquired the fairytale castle, which had been left to decay, in 2008 and revitalized it in close cooperation with the Federal Monuments Office. Carefully and elaborately renovated, an ideal and exclusive infrastructure adapted to the 21st century has been created for all kinds of events. The seven festive rooms of various sizes – with space for up to 130 people – invite you to celebrate, meet, and linger. Whether for a wedding, anniversary, private celebration, seminar, workshop, company event, or as a film location – the castle is exclusively at your disposal in any case. The Rotenturm Castle Theater, which adjoins the castle park – structurally separate – comprises around 160 seats as well as a foyer with a bar area and has retained the style and charming appearance of the 1960s. Primarily comedic plays find their stage here, and it can also be rented by the day.
