Pfarrkirche Herz-Jesu

Between 1905 and 1911, on the initiative of Wels city pastor Josef Flotzinger, the Herz-Jesu-Kirche was built in Neo-Romanesque style with 2 striking facade towers in the west, as the center of the then largely undeveloped Neustadt district. The painting of the Sacred Heart in the apse was created in 1960 by Prof. Alfred Stifter from Linz.
