Ölbergkapelle hl. Kreuz Elbigenalp

North of the village, on a rocky outcrop, lies the pilgrimage church to Christ on the Mount of Olives. It was built between 1670 and 1680. The image of Christ (crucifix) was brought here by Pastor Mellson accompanied by the people. On May 3, 1766, the first Holy Mass was celebrated. Inside, modern vault frescoes by Wolfram Köberl from 1974 can be seen. In 1829, the pilgrimage church was renovated by benefactors.
