"Naturdenkmal Plötz" - The "Plötz" on the middle Rettenbach is a "natural monument" with a 50 m high, very impressive waterfall - in the wild romantic gorge with rock erosions and waterfalls, five historic farm mills bear witness to past centuries. The Waschlmühle is the starting point for the mill hike, which leads you into the "Naturdenkmal Plötz" - The Ebenauer Mühlenwanderweg (a circular hiking trail, not suitable for strollers) is well marked and the walking time is approx. 2 hours. Difficulty: easy to moderate. The path leads past the fire station, right towards Koppl. After the Pertillmühle, turn right again to the "Marterl" (wayside shrine). After approx. 300 m of steep ascent, you reach a bench - "Watzmannblick"! Follow the markings to the crossroads. Follow the "Plötz" sign, down to the reservoir of the natural swimming pool. The way back leads over the footbridge, along the markings, to Ebenau.
