Leoben, Styria
Since 2004, the MuseumsCenter and Kunsthalle Leoben have been housed in a former Jesuit monastery with a total exhibition space of 1,200 m². The facility is located in the center of Leoben, near the main square. The access to the building is completely level. There are no parking facilities directly at the MuseumsCenter or Kunsthalle. Guided tours are always offered for the changing exhibitions. It is highly recommended to register in advance for a tour — even and especially if an assistance dog is brought along. Accompanying persons receive free admission; there are also discounted tickets for families (family ticket). Audio guides are available for rent for a fee. Rollators and wheelchairs are also available upon request. An elevator connects the floors inside the building. The basement always features temporary exhibitions, so the spatial arrangements there change constantly. If there are stairs in an exhibition, they can always be bypassed via an alternative access, and staff are happy to assist. Barrier-free restrooms for ladies and gentlemen are located in the basement, with handrails provided. If a changing table is needed, staff restrooms are available upon request. The path to the media libraries on the second floor is via ramps with a 7% incline.
