Lebenswart Rad- und Wanderweg

The adventure trail leads visitors through the "Wart" – a region around the Pinka in Southern Burgenland. While cycling or hiking, one passes through the towns of Oberwart, St. Martin in der Wart, Unterwart, Spitzzicken, Eisenzicken, Siget in der Wart, Rotenturm an der Pinka, and Oberdorf. This area is particularly characterized by its multilingualism. For centuries, German, Hungarian, Croatian, and Romani have lived side by side here as a matter of course. This lived multilingualism and the eventful history of the region form the focus of the poetic adventure trail. All station boards are written in 4 languages. On each board, one can even learn short sentences in the respective languages.
