Langlaufloipe Gaisberg - Oberwinkl

The Gaisberg - Oberwinkl cross-country ski trail is operated by the "Verein zur Förderung des Wintersports" (Association for the Promotion of Winter Sports). It is located on a sunny high plateau and is about ten minutes from the city of Salzburg. The trail is between three and five kilometers long depending on snow conditions and is groomed for classic cross-country skiing. Access to the trail is via the Salzburg suburb of Elsbethen-Glasenbach in the south of Mozart City. On the Schwaitl state road, take the turnoff towards Gaisbergspitze – Gasthof Kasnocknwirt. The start is at the Kriechbaumgut parking lot. Use of the trail is free of charge and at your own risk. Night cross-country skiing is not permitted due to wildlife and safety reasons.
