Name: Pisweg Herb Hiking Trail - Permanent IVV Hiking Trail The trail starts from Domplatz, passes the sports field, and goes over the Wass-er-Leben Oasis on the Gurk. After a short pause and a look back at the cathedral and the Papal Cross, you continue until you turn right off the asphalted Pisweger Straße at the "Friedensforst" and follow the path that leads through gently to moderately rising forest terrain. You reach the Debriacher Cross with a seating area, where you are rewarded for the challenges of the ascent with a wonderful view over the Flattnitzer Mountains to the Seetaler Alps. The path continues for a short distance along the road into the high-altitude village of Pisweg. Directly in the center, you are greeted by the Gasthof and Kräuterwirt (herb innkeeper) "Zum Kramer". Here, excellent cuisine is prepared with great love and heart using local wild herbs. A visit to the parish church of St. Lambert with its freestanding Karner (charnel house) is also worthwhile before returning on the same route.
