Ischgl, Tyrol
At 1,809 meters above sea level, Kopssee impresses with its turquoise-blue water surface, surrounded by picturesque mountain scenery. In 1967, it was fully dammed for the first time. Today, the reservoir is one of the region's greatest technical achievements: with a catchment area of 170 square kilometers and a usable capacity of almost 43 million cubic meters. In summer, the approximately five-kilometer-long circular path invites beautiful views of the lake and peaks. Accessible year-round, the viewpoint is one of the quieter photo spots in Galtür.
