Keltischer Kraftplatz Naglköpfl

Piesendorf, Salzburg

Archaeological finds indicate settlement during the Bronze Age and Hallstatt period. Copper mining took place in the region early on. The river 'Isonta', now known as Salzach, gave its name to the Celtic tribe of the Ambisonten. Today, Naglköpfl is considered a power place. A small chapel with four saint figures invites visitors to pause. Slightly below, a wooden miner's well along the cultural landscape trail commemorates the region's former working world.
