Kapuzinerkloster

The Capuchin Monastery, situated in a magnificent location, is considered a place of silence and contemplation. Since the early 1990s, the monastery has offered days of silence, retreat days, and ten-day contemplative exercises. In 1711, Count Sigismund von Welserheim handed over his hunting lodge to the Capuchins. In 1711, the first brothers arrived and began the necessary preparatory work for the construction of the monastery. Just three months later, the building was handed over to its new purpose and the foundation stone for the construction of the monastery church was laid. The monastery church is open daily.
