In Gmunden, the post office building changed several times over time. At the beginning of the Graben, the municipal Zwinger building used to stand. It was demolished in 1894 and replaced by a stately new building. Several rooms were set up in this for the k. k. Post- und Telegraphenamt. With its extremely practical and solidly equipped office rooms, it met the demands of the international spa public. It remained there until 1929. Then the post office moved to its current location at the corner of Bahnhofstraße / Habertstraße. More information can be found at Gmundens Schätze!
