The Odinstein, today's Johannesberg, is an ancient cult site. The time of the construction of the Johannesberg Chapel is uncertain; it was first mentioned in a document in 1356. Since the 16th century, the chapel has been consecrated to St. John the Baptist. Its cartouche altar is adorned with a remarkable painting by a Dutch Mannerist. Carved into the south wall of the Johannesberg is the local war memorial, which was created between 1964 and 1966 by the academic sculptor Josef Moser in memory of the victims of both World Wars.
