The House of Biodiversity was newly opened as part of the STEIERMARK SCHAU 2023 and remains accessible to visitors even now, after the end of its run. The new "House of Biodiversity" (in the former Gironcoli Museum) invites visitors to experience the wonders of natural diversity with many hands-on stations and raises awareness of important services that intact natural cycles provide for us. The following interactive stations await you: Wolpertinger: Create an animal according to your personal preferences. Augenfalter: An iris scan transforms you into a butterfly species. Sand Table: Create diverse habitats. The Earth in Our Hand: A movable globe provides information on biodiversity hotspots and environmental destruction. Research Laboratory: Become an insect researcher and identify native beetle species. A hot tip for rainy weather! With admission to Tierwelt Herberstein, the exhibition is freely accessible! In the winter months, the "House of Biodiversity" is open on weekends & daily in the summer months. We are happy to open the House of Biodiversity for groups, with prior registration, and guide them through the diversity of life. Reservation hotline: +43 3176 80777 or by e-mail to info@tierwelt-herberstein.at or inquire here.
