Geburtshaus Peter Rosegger

The Peter Rosegger Birthplace provides insight into the simple rural life of his childhood. At 1,150 m above sea level, amidst green meadows and forests, lies the Kluppeneggerhof, Peter Rosegger's birthplace. Here, the "Waldbauernbub" (forest farmer boy) spent the first 17 years of his life. The people of the area, his own experiences, and those of his family inspired him to write stories and poems, which he began to record at a young age.
