Fischen am Ödensee

Bad Aussee, Styria

Name: Fishing at Lake Ödensee Description: Nature has lavishly endowed our holiday region with the romantic Lake Ödensee (20 ha) and the nature-protected raised bogs (Natura 2000). A striking feature of this lake is its exclusively underground inflow. The outflow, Ödenseetraun, flows into the Traun in Bad Aussee. FISHING REGULATIONS Principle: Fishing must be practiced in a sportsmanlike manner! Absolutely observe: The angler accepts these fishing regulations and undertakes to take note of and comply with their content. All anglers are bound by changes made during the term of a license period. 1.1. The fishing permit (day ticket, three-day ticket, season ticket) is only valid in conjunction with the legally required fishing card for Styria. All cards must always be carried and presented to the fishing wardens and control bodies entrusted with supervision upon request. 1.2. Every member is also obliged to show their catch to the supervisory bodies without being asked, even with repeated daily checks. Any refusal, as well as grossly impolite behavior towards the fishing supervisory bodies, can lead to the immediate withdrawal of the fishing permit. 1.4. Every fish must be entered into the catch statistics or into the catch report via hejfish immediately after its appropriation (killing). Every angler is obliged to keep and submit catch statistics. This serves to enable proper management of the water (stock control). Fishing season from May 1st to September 15th, 2026, fishing times. The fishing time runs in May, June and July from 06:00 to 21:00, in August from 06:00 to 20:30, in September from 06:00 to 20:00 and in October, November and December from 08:00 to 17:00. Closed seasons, minimum sizes, catch restrictions, removal quantities. 3.1. The legal closed seasons and minimum sizes apply with the following exceptions: Brown trout - 30 centimeters, Char - 30 centimeters, for Carp a minimum size of 35 centimeters applies, for Pike a minimum size of 60 centimeters applies. Injured fish must be killed immediately in any case and count towards the catch result. 3.2. Fish caught during their closed season or below the minimum size must be carefully released immediately. If their survival is doubted, they must be killed in a sportsmanlike manner, dismembered and disposed of immediately. Furthermore, they must be entered into the fishing permit with a corresponding note (but do not count towards the catch result). 3.3. Removal: For season ticket holders, a total of 15 fish (three per day) (trout, char, carp, pike) may be removed per month. Day ticket and three-day ticket holders may remove three fish per day. The taking of live fish is generally prohibited. 3.4. When using a keepnet, there must never be more than three fish in the keepnet. The taking of live fish is generally prohibited. Fishing gear, bait. 4.1. Every holder of a fishing permit may use two visibly laid out rods. One fishing spot is allowed per person. The two fishing rods must be laid out in such a way that both rods can be monitored by the authorized member. Bait: Spinners or natural bait. Reminder: Live bait fish are strictly prohibited! Principle: The keeping of all fish must comply with animal welfare guidelines! Club waters. 5.1.
