Dachstein Museum Austriahütte

The highest museum in Styria belonging to the Austrian Alpine Club is located in the Austriahütte - at 1638 m above sea level. The first Dachstein Museum in Styria was opened in 1989. In 2021, the museum underwent extensive redesign! The walking time from the parking lot at the valley station of the Huhnerkogel cable car is approx. 20 minutes. From Gasthof Edelbrunn in Ramsau, it takes approx. 1 hour to walk to the Austriahütte. The Austriahütte during the Long Night of the Alms (mountain pastures) The Austriahütte is always worth a visit. It offers good food, a nice atmosphere, sleeping accommodations, the Dachstein Museum and much more.
