The Leitha from Wimpassing is perfect for kayak and canoe tours, for everyone, even without prior experience. The tour goes through untouched, primeval forest-like riparian forests, amidst fascinating wildlife, from the Wimpassing canoe station to Leithaprodersdorf.On this largely unregulated stretch, the Leitha reveals itself as a true natural jewel for adventurers and romantics alike. On the waterway between Wimpassing and Leithaprodersdorf, canoeists encounter fast-flowing sections as well as shallow fords and many gravel and sandbanks that invite swimming and resting. Up close and personal with beavers, great bustards, herons & co., in one of Austria's most pristine river landscapes, you can wonderfully escape everyday life here.The canoe tour on the Leitha includes the rental of canoes, incl. paddles, waterproof containers and life jackets, instruction on the water as well as a guided tour (either 1.5 or 2.5 hours) and return transport.
