The Bärenhöhle is located on the western slope of the Zeilerberg, approx. 3km north of Winden am See, about 20m above the road. It is a bedding-plane cave with two entrances exposed to the NW (each 3m wide and 1.6m high), which show traces of old masonry. The cave consists of one chamber with short side passages and features a parallel entrance with hummock karren on the ceiling in the entrance area. It consists of earthy sediments and collapse blocks and a barred gate with unlocked doors (since 1978). The cave has been under federal monument protection since February 4, 1929. The name "Ludlloch" was named after the field name "Am Ludl".
