Atelier Thomas Györi Thomas Györi, an artist who has made Gmünd his home, draws his strength from his love for nature, which manifests not only in his artworks but also in his light-filled studio. In its first construction phase, it presents itself as a simple, functional building with a generously sized glass front high above Gmünd. Innovative technology and infrastructure create easier access to the natural stone material in the demanding creation process and simultaneously broaden the focus on new artistic forms of expression. Sculptures and objects made from local marble are exhibited year-round in the studio, newly opened in 2024 in the Unterkreuschlach district, bringing the ancient art of stone craftsmanship closer to visitors.
