Planted around 1950 (during the incorporation of the Hadringergründe into the spa park). This tree is a rarity and very seldom found in park facilities. This deciduous tree species comes from the genus of cork trees (Phellodendron). Home: Northern China, Taiwan Use: corky bark for cork products. Flowering period in May. TCM: in Chinese medicine, the fruits are used as a remedy. They have a pleasant frankincense scent.
