Content: Vienna-born artist and researcher Clara Blume has spent the better part of a decade in the San Francisco Bay Area (US), working at the heart of Silicon Valley's AI revolution, curating projects with leading AI labs and investigating the promise and the limits of artificial creativity. The deeper she went, the more she found herself returning to something that cannot be coded: the sigh inside a singing voice, the body of an instrument, the story that only one particular human in one particular life could tell. And that electric spark that jumps between a performer and a room full of people. After years working behind the scenes as a creative director and curator, she finally reclaims the stage with new songs and stories, joined by her longtime creative partner Marcus Pristernik (Vereinigte Bühnen Wien/MP3) on guitar and his Prime Cast Collective, featuring Raphaela Friess (Thomas Stipsits/Vereinigte Bühnen Wien) on drums and Marie Schwaiger (OSKA/UCHE YARA) on bass. Following her two studio productions Here Comes Everything (earcandy/Rough Trade, 2015) and Soñemos, alma(Timezone Records, 2022), Clara Blume is currently working on her third record while continuing her research into the question: the more we find ourselves surrounded by synthetic realities dictated by economic value, what is the worth of genuine authorship?
