Hardly any singer-songwriter writes music more fitting for emotional states like heartbreak, longing, and emotional healing than Matt Hansen. After the video went viral in February 2021, over 500,000 people quickly followed, captivated by his voice and eagerly awaiting his first single "without you without me," which was released in October of that year. The single also captures the intimate and authentic sound of the viral video, thanks to the musician's DIY production, as he releases his music independently without a label. Over the years, songs like "better off without me" (2022), "LET EM GO," and "something to remember" have been created almost snapshot-like and without pressure, quickly becoming fan favorites. Over time, however, Matt Hansen's sound also evolves, opening up to a modern pop-rock side that interprets his captivating refrains and empathetic lyrics even more compellingly. On his debut album "Orchid," Matt Hansen now presents a collection of 17 songs that perfectly illustrate what his music is about: capturing his most vulnerable moments in relatable songs with which listeners can identify. The fact that this has led to a global community that redefines this vulnerability as a powerful source of strength and connection is a testament to his approachable charisma.
