Cirque du Soleil announces the world premiere of its first permanent European show ALIZÉ, which will begin in November 2025 at the Theater am Potsdamer Platz in Berlin. The new show depicts a journey into the invisible with a mix of groundbreaking acrobatics and breathtaking magic, embedded in an adventure that exceeds the limits of imagination. ALIZÉ is the 54th original production and the first residence of Cirque du Soleil in Europe, which first set up its tents in Germany 30 years ago. Since 1995, with Saltimbanco marking a new era, 16 productions have performed in the Grand Chapiteau or arenas in 16 German cities. Berlin is considered an ideal location for the first permanent Cirque du Soleil show in a European metropolis due to its openness and international appeal. Cirque du Soleil also aims to express its special connection to Berlin. In this new, innovative creation, where acrobatics and magic merge, the protagonists embark on a journey into a surreal world. They attempt to reveal the invisible and thus discover the hidden magic behind reality. The poetic tour is filled with wonders, puzzles, and enchantment. The audience is transported to a world where the impossible becomes possible and the hidden reveals its secrets. Captivating acrobatic performances and magical visualizations dissolve the boundaries between reality and imagination. ALIZÉ celebrates the magic of humanity by immersing in a cosmos full of fantasy and wonder. The Theater am Potsdamer Platz will be transformed to meet the unique technical requirements of this permanent production.
