What's it about?

How to learn for the future? A high-profile discussion round on school, education, and the transformative power of our knowledge and creative culture. What competencies do we need in a rapidly changing world? And what constitutes the genuinely human aspect that no machine can replace? How can a learning culture be created in schools and training that strengthens critical thinking and judgment, promotes creativity and confidence in the world, ensures equitable access, and productively brings together mind and hand – precisely to keep us capable of action in the context of artificial intelligence? – This third and final podium of the festival is dedicated to the crucial question of education and explores with passionate practitioners and experts how a system could look that releases not graduates, but "originals" into life. We discuss with Mirjam Zadoff, Ulrike Schmidt-Zachl, Gregor Örley, Monika Abendstein, and Lukas Kummer. The podium discussions do not begin with arguments, but with an artistic moment: A text, an image, or a sound opens the space – quietly, concentrated, perhaps surprisingly. These interventions are intended as an invitation to pause, to listen, to think along and further. Then the conversation begins. There, different approaches meet: people with experience and people with questions, practitioners and seekers, perspectives that complement, contradict, and lead further. Away from ready-made answers, they aim to be open, sometimes tentative, focused where necessary – but always driven by the conviction that new ideas emerge where different voices work together.
