Winterwanderwege in Hüttschlag

1) Circular hike Hubalm & Hirschgrubenalm: You start your hike in the town center of Hüttschlag and follow the path uphill, past the elementary school, until you reach the intersection. Here, you have three options: one path leads downhill into the district of Wolfau, another uphill towards Reitalm, and straight ahead into the Hubalmtal. Follow this path to the Hubalm. For the return, initially walk back a short distance on the same path. Shortly after the Hubalm chapel, a trail branches off to Hirschgrubenalm. Follow this to the next intersection and take path No. 21. It passes by the Oberneureit farm and continues to the Aschaustüberl. From here, continue along the valley trail to Maurachkapelle and Karteiskapelle. Then, walk a bit along the cross-country ski trail before crossing the bridge to the district of Wolfau. After the football field, there is a slight uphill at the intersection – and you will reach the starting point of your circular tour again, approximately 15 km. Places to eat: Hotel Hüttenwirt, Hotel Almrösl, Aschaustüberl. 2) Hüttschlag - Talschluss: The winter hike starts in the town center of Hüttschlag. From there, the path goes uphill, past the elementary school, into the district of Wolfau. First, turn left to cross the bridge. Then, the path runs alongside the cross-country ski trail for a while until you reach Karteiskapelle. From there, follow the foot and bike path further to Maurachkapelle and Aschaustüberl. Along the Großarler Ache, continue until reaching the Talschluss of Hüttschlag, about 6 km. Places to eat: Hotel Hüttenwirt, Hotel Almrösl, Aschaustüberl, Gasthof Talwirt. 3) Hüttschlag Talschluss - Ötzlsee: You start at the parking lot in the Talschluss in Hüttschlag. Hike into the picturesque Talschluss to Ötzlsee, about 2 km. Place to eat: Gasthof Talwirt.
