Windpark Steinriegel - Pretul

From the municipality of Rettenegg, you hike up the Alpannonia-Zubringer trail to the 1,656-meter-high Pretul. From there, you can enjoy a magnificent mountain panorama and view the Rattener Windpark. For those who want to go even higher on the Pretul, there is the Peter-Bergner-Warte. This small observation platform was built according to legend for the murdered hut keeper Peter Bergner. On the Pretul, you have the option to stay overnight at the Roseggerhaus mountain hut or to enjoy a meal. The hut is suitable for all who wish to continue hiking from here on the Alpannonia long-distance trail, which leads to the Hungarian plains in Köszeg. Shorter tours are also possible from the Pretul, such as a walk to the Rattener Windpark or a hike to the next summit, the Stuhleck.
