In 2018, the swimming pool celebrated its 50th anniversary. After a complete renovation, the Wellenbad and Refugium in Gleisdorf was officially reopened in 2004. It features a sunbathing area of more than 14,000 m² with partial shade provided by trees. The Gleisdorf wave pool offers five pools with a total water surface of 1,700 m². The sports pool covers over 800 m² and has a depth of up to 2 meters. right next to it is the diving tower with 1m and 3m high diving boards. The famous wave basin has a water surface of 643 m², a shower with a splash effect, as well as an integrated Bodenstrudel (bottom whirlpool) and is up to 1.35 meters deep. For the little ones, there is a large children's paddling pool, which is only 15-35 cm deep and equipped with a swiveling water cannon. The adventure slide is 61 meters long and is always popular with children and adults alike. With children's play equipment, a net swing, a rope ladder, a spring swing, a sand digger, a play fountain, and much more, no child's wish remains unfulfilled. Those who want to stay active can compete at the beach volleyball courts or table tennis. Free broadband internet is available throughout the Wellenbad grounds. Wherever you are on the over 14,000 m² sunbathing area, connecting to the open wireless network allows for fast and free surfing.
