Waschlmühle Ebenau

The "Waschlmühle" is a two-story double mill with an overshot waterwheel, built around 1875 and in operation until 1955. According to the contract, the owners had milling rights for 3 days each. The mill race was specially constructed for the operation of the mill. Rye, wheat, and oats were milled. In the cozy "Mühlstüberl" with a tiled stove, table, and bed, the miller could wait for the milling process to finish. The "Totenbretter" (memorial boards) commemorate deceased owners and a mill caretaker. Guided tours are possible with advance booking! The Waschlmühle is reachable from the town center or the bus stop in 3 minutes.
