Experience the fairy tale of King Waldgeist on the Hochrindl themed hiking trail! Immerse yourself in the enchanting fairy tale of the noble King Waldgeist and his subjects – the air spirits, water and medicinal spirits, and tree spirits – who fight against the evil witch Stumpelbein. The circular trail begins and ends at the Herzl-Hütte in the Hochrindl hiking area and leads through the picturesque Zirbenwald (Swiss pine forest). Experience lovingly designed stations, exciting carved wooden figures, and enjoy nature on an approximately one-hour walk. Highlights: Start & End: Herzl-Hütte – Here you receive a fairy tale booklet with directions and a riddle. Experience: Stations for viewing and experiencing, playgrounds, and fantastic viewpoints. Tips: Directly at the Herzl-Hütte you will find the Zirbenzapfi adventure trail and a disc golf course. Attractions: Beautiful forest path with views of almost all of Carinthia and a refreshing water station at the spring spirit.
