The church in the district of St. Erhard, which gives the area its name, stands on Romanesque foundations. It was built as early as 1200. The beautiful, luminous Gothic windows are among the most significant monuments in the Alpine region. The interior of the church has been Baroque-style decorated. The pilgrim bishop Erhard from Regensburg was canonized in 1052 and became the patron of the church. His statue stands at the main altar. Since 1826, the pilgrimage church has also been the parish church.
