The miraculous image of the pilgrimage church "Maria Heimsuchung" goes back to a copy of the image of the Mother of God from Máriapócs (Eastern Hungary). According to legend, it was attached to a tree in 1749 and gained increasing appreciation from the population. In 1793, the church was consecrated in its present form - the patron saint's day is celebrated on the Feast of the Visitation (July 2). After extensive renovation work, the church shines in its original colorful splendor. The design of the altar area, with a folk altar and ambo made of synthetic resin, emphasizes lightness and enhances the light penetration of the baroque high altar, which frames the miraculous image. The church has been a popular pilgrimage destination since its existence.
