At Waldpark Hochreiter, located at around 1,000 meters above sea level, an adventure awaits you. Situated in the Naturpark Almenland, directly on the Teichalmstraße, there are many animals, exciting play stations, and plenty of space to explore, play, and breathe. This is perfect for young explorers – and the adults will have at least as much fun! 23 different animal species look forward to your visit. Whether goats, donkeys, mini-ponies, foxes, red deer, or the curious raccoons – here you can get to know many animal residents up close. Some also enjoy a small portion of food or a petting session. And in the petting zoo, it gets even more animal-friendly! For those who prefer to go on an exploration tour, Waldpark is also the right place. On the Waldkugelbahn, wooden balls roll over winding tracks and through exciting obstacles. At the water play area, it’s all about pumping, splashing, and splattering, while the Holzfäller-Trail offers climbing opportunities, balancing stations, and a go-kart and bobby car track for plenty of activity. There is also a large slide tower and many other spots to try out and discover. On the Käfer-Safari-Wiese, young naturalists can playfully learn about the tiny inhabitants of the forest. If they still have enough energy afterwards, they can let off steam at the Ninja course, on the zip line, or on the swings. It’s sure not to be boring! And when the feet need a break and the stomach is growling, head to the restaurant with regional delicacies, a sun terrace, and a play area. Those who prefer to snack outdoors can also enjoy a picnic in the green. There are cozy picnic spots and even small huts with a view of Hochlantsch.
