Ternberg, Upper Austria

klettern

After warming up on the Feitel via ferrata (see topo, this is the best approach to the Mammut via ferrata), the Trattenbacher via ferrata begins with the long rope bridge (B/C), followed by an aluminum ladder (B). From the end of the ladder, immediately ascend diagonally left on the slab (C). You reach a series of clamps (B) that lead to the emergency exit. Straight up (C) over slabs and small steps (C) to easy terrain (B and B/C). An easy band (A) leads to the left, and you reach the exit via the final wall (C). Difficulty: Several sections C, also easier shortly before the exit. Child-friendly: No Protection: Well secured with steel cable and foot clamps. Equipment: Complete via ferrata equipment and helmet Starting point: Parking lot below the Beisteinmauer Approach to the wall: From the parking lot, walk slightly uphill on the forest road, then turn left to the practice via ferrata or the Feitel via ferrata. Starting point altitude: 470 m Entry altitude: 500 m Descent: From the summit, descend briefly east along the ridge, then turn right onto the descent path down to the forest road and back to the parking lot. The descent path is briefly B and often A – so do not take off via ferrata equipment at the summit. Public parking at Trattenbach train station, approx. 20-30 min to the via ferrata. Further information at www.ternberg.naturfreunde.at In Trattenbach, turn left towards Gasthaus Klausriegler; parking lot directly below the Beisteinmauer Paid parking directly below the via ferrata at "Mostheurigen Mitterhumer" Public transport: The Ennstalbahn runs between Linz and Weißenbach-St. Gallen.
