Göriach, Salzburg
The Toni Chapel, built from stone and brick, is located in Hintergöriach directly at the crossroads on the road and is accessible even in winter. The curved tent roof is covered with shingles. A globe-shaped finial with a double-barred cross (Caravaca cross, Patriach cross) adorns the roof decoration. On the west side, there is the segmental-arched entrance to the niche, which is secured with a wrought iron grille (grid pattern) and decorated with side curtains. In the sheltered space in front of the niche, a small bed bench is placed. The Toni Chapel is approximately 150 years old. Exact dates and the reason for its construction are unknown to the owner. The roof was re-covered in 1986. The facade was repainted in 2000.
