The professional, independent theater group theater tabor was founded in December 2000. On average, 3 plays are staged per year, including some world premieres in the German-speaking world. theater tabor finds recognition not only with its ever-growing regular audience, but also in international professional circles. In October 2001, the theater won the coveted award for "best performance of a Russian classic" at the International Theater Festival Magnitogorsk, Russia. Another highlight is the successful participation in October 2002 and 2004 at the International Theater Festival "Golden Lion" in Lvov (Lemberg) in Ukraine.
