Since we are essentially a club that, of course, also allows guests in Oberalm to use the courts for a fee of €10, but only to a limited extent, as we have a restriction of 7 bookings per person that can be used by non-club members. This should not be a problem for guests, but what I want to emphasize is that we are not a public tennis court that operates commercially. Of course, tennis is the primary focus of the 250-member club - the fact that there are 19 championship teams active in the Salzburg championship league, from the top division to beginner and youth leagues, speaks volumes. Founded in 1974 and based in the idyllic Oberalm near Salzburg, the club is distinguished above all by its family-friendly atmosphere and its wide range of sporting activities as well as a lively club life. A home beach volleyball court, a floodlit boccia facility, a swimming pool, table tennis, and table football provide plenty of leisure fun beyond the five sand courts. The children's playground ensures that the young ones feel comfortable as well. The club's focus is clearly on recreational sports, as performance is not the top priority in Oberalm - yet several teams have been competing confidently in the highest leagues of the country for years. The youth program culminates each year in the Youth Week, which has been around for nearly 20 years - 80 children play tennis under professional guidance, are also trained in coordination, and are provided with culinary delights. On members' initiative, there are also numerous annual fun competitions (beach volleyball tournament, dart tournament, multi-sport competitions), which keep the club life lively. These are organized and initiated by individual members. A reason for the lively activity in the clubhouse is, of course, the professional catering. The local innkeeper and his wife run the service in the clubhouse in the style of a small guesthouse, serving homemade dishes - they are now considered an institution. It is no coincidence that numerous well-attended festivals take place, extending well beyond the club's borders. The annual summer festival is legendary and attracts up to 300 guests from all over the country. The UTC Oberalm is a club that places great importance on members and friends not only coming to play tennis and then leaving the courts. More importantly, the club management under chairman Walter Svoboda emphasizes that everyone who visits UTC Oberalm will be well taken care of and pampered, even off the red clay. If you only play tennis in Oberalm, you are missing out. By the way: If you have little time during the day, you can play tennis until 10 p.m. on three floodlit courts.
