The Töchterlehof is a paradise for horse enthusiasts: in addition to breeding magnificent Friesian horses, it is dedicated to producing valuable cosmetic and culinary products from mare's milk. Visiting the mare's milk stud farm is definitely worthwhile—especially if you can take a guided tour behind the scenes of this extraordinary operation and taste the products. The tour begins in front of the shop and tasting room. An impressive larch wood horse—the largest in the world and a regional landmark—invites visitors to explore. Alternatively, an introduction to the history and function of the mare's milk stud farm is given either on the first floor of the horse or in front of it. A 10-minute film also provides interesting information about the breeding of Friesian horses and the use of mare's milk. Of course, the visit to the barrier-free stable is part of the tour. Visitors can also sample the quality of the milk and milk products during a tasting. Seating benches are available throughout the grounds. The friendly staff are very attentive to guests' needs. While there is no designated disabled parking space, parking is available directly in front of the entrance or about 50 meters away—these spaces are reserved for people with disabilities. There is an 8% incline at the access to the shop and tasting room, and a short 15% incline at the interior entrance door. The estate can be visited either with a guided tour or independently—please book tours in advance. Dogs are welcome at any time. To aid orientation, a site plan is printed on the admission tickets. People with disabilities receive a reduced entry fee, and personal assistance is free. Children up to 16 years old are free. There is a larger toilet (in the ladies' restroom), but it is not barrier-free, as the slope to it is 12%, and no grab bars are available. Due to the natural conditions of the estate, not all outdoor paths are barrier-free and easily rollable.
