Straße der EnergiewAEnde

At 8 stations in the city center, the so-called "EnergiewÆnde" (Energy Turns), visitors are thematically confronted with an environmental technical problem. Future-proof approaches or solutions can be discovered on the back of each "Energiewand" (energy wall). The modern adventure trail makes the topic of solar energy in Gleisdorf accessible and tangible. But not only that – with the new "Straße der EnergiewÆnde" (Street of Energy Turns), an experience route through the city is created, which also highlights the themes of environment and sustainability and thus supports the city's values – with the sun at its heart. The "Straße der EnergiewÆnde" impresses with innovative, digital experiential formats and aims to encourage reflection on the energy engineering challenges of the future. The urban part of the themed trail can be walked in about 60 minutes. The 4 stations in the districts of Nitscha, Laßnitzthal, Ungerdorf, and Labuch are dedicated to "life energy" and invite visitors to pause with mindfulness exercises. A digital, modern "tool" accompanies the physical stations to make the themed trail more entertaining and thus – in the spirit of edutainment – turn the visit into a positive and exciting experience. Interaction along the "Straße der EnergiewÆnde" mainly occurs digitally, through new and innovative experiential formats – the so-called EnergiewÆnde app as well as 2D and 3D animations. A simple smartphone or tablet serves as the "tool" for interaction, with QR codes at the stations to be scanned. The EnergiewÆnde app is the target group-appropriate basis for the "energy quiz" and the "solution videos" at the stations. It is also possible to acquire knowledge or enjoy the themed trail without technical aids. Thus, the "Straße der EnergiewÆnde" becomes an experience for both school classes and individual visitors, for young and old alike.
