Implemented in a former air-raid shelter, the "Stollen der Erinnerung" (Tunnel of Remembrance) addresses the history of Steyr during the National Socialist era. The setting for this examination is the 140-meter-long Lambergstollen, built by concentration camp prisoners in the winter of 1943 near the confluence of the Enns and Steyr rivers.The path through the horseshoe-shaped facility follows a chronological concept, focusing on the years 1938 to 1945. Special attention is paid to biographical approaches and personal accounts, which, alongside historical photographs and text documents, form essential narrative components.
