The Alpaca Farm in Steintal Near Tieschen in Southeast Styria, in the so-called Steintal, away from main roads and surrounded by vineyards, meadows, and forests, lies the small cadastral community of Grössing in the south of the Themenland & Vulkanland Steiermark. In the center of Grössing, the "Steintal-Alpaka" farm was created from a former farm (vulgo Weber) after a three-year renovation period from 2017 to 2019! Experience hour for children and parents If you would like to get to know our alpacas, learn more about them, and pet them, you are welcome to visit us at the farm – by appointment. Please simply request an appointment and specify your desired time. Guided adventure hike Experience hikes and trekking with alpacas: enjoy the beauty of nature accompanied by these cuddly animals. – the hike will certainly be an unforgettable experience. During an introduction and getting to know the animals (approx. 20 min), we learn how to interact respectfully with them. The route then leads us through forests and meadows on various paths. Alpaca Farm Shop & Store Alpaca wool - one of the most valuable natural fibers in the world In our farm shop at the Steintal-Alpakahof, you can convince yourself of the quality of this natural product. We carry a wide range of socks and knee-highs, scarves, hats and gloves, arm warmers, sweaters, jackets, coats, capes and ponchos, sofa blankets, and special small items. Visit us! You will find our fiber in all shoe insoles, duvets, seat cushions, and partly in yarn! In addition to selling wool products from our own, we exclusively carry products from brands that have convinced us with their consistent quality and sustainability.
