Steinmuseum Csaterberg

The "Steinmuseum" (Stone Museum) is located on Kleincsaterberg in the Gasthof zum Weinberg (Holzer). In addition to rocks and minerals formed by the precipitation of SiO2 in a young Tertiary freshwater lake (opal or opal rock, chalcedony, "jasper"), it primarily displays petrified wood, for which the Csaterberge are known far beyond Austria. Admission is free. Opening hours correspond to those of theuesthouse. Advance registration is requested!
