Steiner Wasserfall

The Steiner Waterfall plunges roaring over a total of 1000 meters from the Äußere Steiner Alm into the valley. This makes this waterfall at the end of the Matrei valley basin one of the highest waterfalls in Austria. The Steiner Bach, which gives its name to the Steiner Waterfall, is divided into the upper Steiner Waterfall with a height of 160 meters and the lower Steiner Waterfall with a height of 120 meters. The best view of the Steiner Waterfall is from above the Prossegg district near the Annakapelle.
